In the middle school, I took three years of Spanish. In 6th grade, we went to the area twice a week, and in 7th and 8th grade, we went to class 4 times a week. At school, I took Spanish capital II as a freshman, and Spanish III as a sophomore.
It depends on your school. I took two French classes in college and only had to take French 3 my first year. Ask your school counselor. they should categorically be able to let you know.
